I can only imagine how stressful it must be to be in a foreign country trying to figure out tax and immigration matters. Time consuming, overwhelming, too many details, too much information at once.

It took me a lot of dedication and time to become an expert in tax and immigration work. With me as a Dutch person, my partner as a Brazilian-American and our dog Harley from South Africa we form an international family. Living abroad in India, South-Africa and Belgium, while having my own business in the Netherlands, and working for Dutch employers really pushed me to learn all the details of international tax and immigration.

Furthermore, I was responsible for managing all tax and immigration aspects for highly skilled migrants employed by an international organisation in the Netherlands.

One thing that I have learned: it will be stressful unless you know how to work with the system. I think it is fair for me to say that after all these years and changing international situations, I have gained a lot of knowledge on how to arrange these matters and make best use of the tax and immigration system in the Netherlands.
